Our client, a UK based business with over 25 years’ experience in the industry providing Courier Services, Project Forwarding, Road Services in UK and Europe are looking for an Operations Supervisor to join their team based near Düsseldorf, Germany.
The role will have at least 2 operational clerks reporting into them and have room for growth over the coming years and report into the Directors of the business.
The main responsibilities and requirements are as follows
- Responsible for day-to-day operations in imports/exports (mainly road with small amount of Sea and Air) for UK and Europe (and a little China and USA) in the general freight.
- Courier Shipments and warehouse control.
- Manage small team
- Invoicing
- Customer Services and potential sales
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30 (sometimes there are overtimes)
- Training of staff
Requirements
- Experience: 4-10 years as a supervisor with a potential to be a manager
- Hands On operational experience and prepared to get involved in day to day operations
- Training experience
- Strong communication skills in German and English (2nd Language)
- Customer Service Experience
- Culture – Open to growth and taking on further responsibilities in short space of time
